Cuban Black Beans

  • 15 ounces black beans, canned, Bush\'s seasoned
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground bay leaf
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
Methods/steps
  1. Heat olive oil in medium saucepan. Saute onions and celery for a few minutes until they start to soften. Add garlic, cook a couple minutes more. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT VINEGAR; stir, and cook a few minutes to blend flavors. Add vinegar, cook 1 minute more, and serve with white rice.
Additional Tips
Delicious with grilled pork and yellow rice - Cuban style!
