This demonstration using mosDemo will show you how to build a Building in Inline Filter that can be used in your Raised Water Garden

This is a simple way to remove chlorine and chloramine from your water without adding additional chemicals.

1) Start by purchasing an inline water filter from your local hardware store. These filters are the type that you would mount under your sink. You want one with 3/4" fittings.
2) The filter has a different thread pattern than a hose, so in order to connect the two you will need a 3/4" bronze male adapter. Apply Teflon paste or tape to the threads of the adapter and screw it into the filter's intake opening.
3) Next attach a "quick connect" to the brass fitting, again using Teflon paste on the threads. This will make it easy to remove the filter when not in use.
4) Attach a standard shut-off valve to the other opening.
5) Now insert the filter cartridge. The filter cartridge that you use should be a taste and odor cartridge. These cartridges are designed to remove chlorine and chloramine from water. There are two different types of taste and odor filters, one uses charcoal and the other uses a membrane to remove chlorine. Choose the type that uses a membrane.
6) The completed filter cost around $35-40. Using this type of filtration is healthier for your pond and will end up saving you money in the long run.
